Frequently asked questions
What is it made of?
The coffee canister is high borosilicate glass, rated −20°C to 100°C, with a silicone sealing ring and a press-button lid. The storage jars are clear glass with a solid wooden screw lid and a silicone gasket.
Which jar size do I need?
Every jar is 9.5cm across, so only the height changes: 250ml is 7.3cm tall, 350ml is 10.3cm, 650ml is 15.3cm, 950ml is 20.3cm, 1250ml is 25.3cm and 1550ml is 30.3cm. The coffee canister is a separate 1.7L size, 24.8cm tall and 11.2cm across, holding roughly 600g of whole beans.
What does the one-way valve do?
Coffee gives off carbon dioxide for several days after roasting. Open the valve for the first three to five days so the gas escapes, then close it for a full airtight seal.
Are they dishwasher safe?
The glass bodies and silicone rings are fine to wash normally. Hand-wash the wooden lids and dry them straight away, or the wood will dry out and split.
How long does delivery take?
Free UK delivery on everything. Dispatched within 2 working days, then 15 to 30 days to arrive, because it ships direct from the maker. If 30 days pass and it has not turned up, we replace or refund it — see the shipping policy.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet — we ship to mainland UK only, including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Because of that there are never any customs or import charges to pay on delivery. If you are abroad, message us and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
Can I return something?
Yes. UK and EU customers have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of delivery. Full detail is in our return policy, linked in the footer.
What if it arrives damaged?
Email us a photo and we will replace or refund it. You will not be asked to post a broken jar back.
